I was hoping someone would know or had used a good calling card sold in India that had good rates. Looks like i might just use onesuite, seems 9/min is pretty good. Used them in europe with good results.
Any other tips for an experienced traveler but first timer in India would be welcome.
thanks[/quote:6e3f35bd0b]
I'm also interested in signing up with Onesuite. Please tell me more about their service aside from their prepaid phone card and voip feature...what else is useful?
Thanks.[/quote:6e3f35bd0b]

I currently tour in Shanghai and I would say the top tourist attractions are:
The bund (two sides of Shanghai with a river in between) -- this is where you will see sights of the most impressive buildings in Shanghai. You can also visit top-level bars and restaurants with amazing sights.
Nanjing Rd -- This is the main tourist road with shopping, food, and sight seeing.
Yu Yuan Garden -- Shanghai's top garden. Located in the middle of various shops selling souvenirs..
All my friends who have been to the phillipines have loved it! it apparently has the most lovely beaches and nice friendly people. Ive heard though that the food is not so great compared to other asian countries like India and Thailand
I guess it depends on your taste. I see many people saying they like the food too..
In 2011 a great year to travel to Nepal. Are there any policies for the poor? Nepal is really new for me, and I want more new tourist destinations open to choice correct? Thanks. 8).
Ko Samui is the most beautiful island in Thailand. It is less crowded than Phuket and you will enjoy in beautiful beaches and exotic wildlife. It also has many beautiful and peaceful beaches located near the small coral reefs, so snorkeling is an easy activity for everyone!.
Delhi - Jaipur - Pushkar - Udaipur - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Agra - Orchha - Khajuraho - Varanasi - Delhi - Goa is a great route and one that io have personally done and loved. If you have time i would also suggest going to the himalayas too............
would you like to tell me your budget so that I can better assist you.
you can check out on the net for the rates of all the hotels in Mumbai and Hydrabad..
well, as im getting my trip to Indo organized, a question after another pops up in my mind. This time it's:
Jakarta, ...what is the best area to stay in for one-two nights? Im a budget-minded traveller and prefer staying in a guest house that is close to city center (if not within) and most of the attractions. Any specific lodgings? As mentioned, i dont have a lot of money to waste for the accommodation as im modest.
Jakarta sights? What attractions would you pinpoint for me considering the length of my stay? What is a must-see/do?
Sumatra trekking - ...will do a couple of trekking trips in Kerinci and Ketambe national parks. Should i haul my own pair of trekking shoes all over from europe, or is there any chance to rent/borrow one on the spot?
thank for your help.
Phuket isnt that great, i dont know why everybody raves about it so much. i think its dirty and not clean! its certainly nothing in comparision to ko phang yan or phi phi!.
where isv camiguin island? ive never heard of it? what is there to do there?
Hi Sophia,
Camiguin Islands is in the Philippines. It is popularly known as the "Born of Fire" because this island has seven volcanoes and has several volcanic domes. Though you won't have to worry about any volcano eruption. :)
This island has a wonderful nature that awaits any tourist from around the globe. This island offers an untouched beauty that entices its visitors and make them feel relaxed.
Weather is fine from April to First week of June, but it can be very hot since the island is located in the Philippines. Cold times are around the months of November to Mid-February. :)[/quote:cc0a9d4d2e]
Thanks for this i wil look it up!.
Does anyone know whats the best place to eat local food in Dubai. I live in London and will be traveling to Dubai next month, I really like to try some of the local food.
You only need to check advice for Egypt on many large well-respected sites and you will find out, like many Muslim countries in MENA region that topless sunbathing is not acceptable.
I have a few Egyptian friends, and their wives are not even allowed to expose their hair in public. With this rule,do you think they would tollerate topless sunbathing?.
If you have your accommodation in Dubai already arranged with your friend, then just book direct with the airline. Why go through an agent or flight booking service, who will probably add commission...when you can organize it yourself. I'm sure you can work out what airlines fly to Dubai, but one thing that you may not have considered is many people fly from Manchester to Abu Dhabi with Etihad, and then get a 1 hr taxi from AD to Dubai. It might seem like an ordeal, but it's not and it's literally one straight road. Alternateively, for a cheap route people fly from Manchester to Qatar, then get the connection from Qatar onto Dubai. Again, sounds like a pain, but it's really not, just a small amount of waiting. You can do this route with Qatar Airways or KLM. Good luck!.
pattierosie - I've stayed at Burj Al Arab, and been there many times. It can be expensive, but if you time it right and enquire early you can get deals to stay there and you can also book to have brunch or drinks in the skyview bar on 27th floor. The floors are all double height, and to my knowledge it's still the tallest "hotel" in the world. Probably not the sort of place to take children since it's 7 star, just bear that in mind..
I think that if it is your only ever chance to visit one or the other, and having been to both, then for the experiance I would choose Istanbul over Dubai. More to do and a bit different, Dubai is the same as any large city, nice and safe but lacks soul..
In turkey the best place to enjoy is aroun the Mediterrian sea. It is famous for its beaches and watersports. It is enjoyable place for each and every age group person..
Egypt is a country that lies in Middle east. It is one of the upcoming tourist spots. It is famous for Pyramids, Sphinx, Scuba diving ,Beaches. It is the place combination of ancient and moders. It is most preferred amon the visitors..
[quote:f88178923a="Beinharim"]Hey!
First off, October is a good time to visit Israel, weather wise.
About your question-
You were lucky enough to get your topic read by the best tour company in Israel. :D :D
we provide the widest range of tours available, including Bethlehem and Jerusalem. You can take a tour that cover both cities, but since both has many holly sites, i'd recommend dedicating at least a day to Jerusalem and maybe another half day to Bethlehem.
As for tour options- we offer group (min of 4 ppl) tours and private tours, all tours include transportation from hotels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
msg me for further info and consultation for the best customized tour for you.[/quote:f88178923a]
We are praying unto God to visit the God's own country Isreal.. We love to visit Jordan River where the Prophet John has baptized people with Water including the Son of Man, Christ Jesus.
[quote:7dcb0a7268="sonjica"]Traveling to Pakistan may seem to you as a bad idea, considering all the messages brought to us by the media and the political leaders, but the reality is that most of the world does not have the insight to what this country is really about. If you want to learn about the people in Iran and their rich culture, the changes that took place in Iranian history and lead to one global propaganda promoting only the negatives, you should read [deleted]
Well, Pakistan is a wonderful country and there are lots of places for holidays and they are also easy to reach because of the cheap transportation in Pakistan.
Yesterday afternoon the weather changed from amber to red and at last black rainstorm. Just before the clouds where bringing in the terrible weather part of the sky got some evening light.

from the page: " Survivors of an alleged Nato rocket attack on a small town in Helmand, which the Afghan government says killed 52 civilians, spoke today of their anger at what they claim was a deliberate air strike, despite coalition denials. Many residents of the town say they believe the strike, which they say was a missile attack on a mud house where people were hiding from nearby fighting, was deliberate. "The foreign forces could see us," said Haji Abdul Ghafar, a 38-year-old farmer who had fled to Regey from a nearby village. "We were not in any hideouts. The Americans can see tiny things on the ground, but they could not see us. I think they bombed us on purpose."... Ghafar said, 17 members of his extended family were killed, including three sisters, three daughters and one son... Ghafar made clear his disdain for foreign soldiers. "When Taliban fight, they always tell us to leave the area," he said. "Even before this fighting, Taliban told us to leave the area and we left."
from the page: " The tiny Pacific kingdom of Tonga has agreed to send troops to Afghanistan, saying "it looks safer than Iraq" and that the fight against the Taliban will provide much needed jobs. A contingent of 55 Tongan soldiers is expected to begin service in Afghanistan in November, the first of 275 soldiers committed over a two-year period following a request from Britain to get involved... "This is an invitation from the British army who saw our soldiers work in Iraq and the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown wrote to our prime minister and asked for support. "This is something we think is an honour to be a part of." Tonga, which has suffered negative economic growth for the past two years, sees a continuing role in UN peacekeeping missions as a way to build up defence force numbers... a soldier would only be paid 30 pounds sterling (45.50 US dollars, 83 Tongan pa'anga) a day... "The British government will pay 2.6 million pounds to cover all the costs over the first year,"..."
